Cruising into 2014!

Cruise 2013-00050_web Over the holidays, my husband and I had a little get-away and went on a cruise.   It was warm, easy and breezy.  It was exactly what we needed after facing a personal tragedy just shortly after Thanksgiving.   I am thinking that going away to a tropical place for the holidays could become a tradition.  I am sure our pocketbooks would not agree!   I had a million photos to sort through of our wonderful experience once we got home.  Whenever I photograph things personally, my tendency is to download all the images  on to my computer, and there they just sit........for a long time.  Maybe forever.   I am lucky if they get printed at some point, and even luckier if I make an album.  Sound familiar?  I can't tell you the anxiety I feel when I think about the "backlog" of digital photos I have just sitting on my computer waiting to be printed.  Maybe you are really good about printing those photos, but I have to say I am not! Guilty as charged!

I do believe that photos should be cherished as soon as possible.   What good are they if they stay stuck on your CD or hard drive?   One of my biggest goals for this year is to help my clients find the perfect way to display their images, whether in print, in an album or on a large gallery-wrapped canvas for their wall.    Once I have that beautiful image up on my wall I am in love all over again with whatever inspired me to take the photo (not like I need lots of inspiration, lol, I love taking photos!).

I am excited for the things that are to come for 2014 for me personally and for Noelle Lynn Photography.   I don't believe in resolutions, but I do believe in setting goals and I have lots of them for this year.   I hope that you reach some of your goals for this year too!

P.S.  I am proud to say that I did create an album of our cruise within 1 week of returning from our trip, I love showing it to friends and family and I feel so much better knowing that I have memories of that trip all in one place that I can re-visit over and over!
